I can't believe that my son is 6 1/2 months old. It's so hard to believe that he's here and has been here for such a long time. I know everyone says this, but honestly it feels like just yesterday that I went into labor (on labor day, how ironic) and a few short days later we were bringing him home for the first time to meet his furbrother and sister.
He's the light of our lives, as well as our families lives.
So far...
- He has two teeth and has had them since he was around 5 1/2 months old (he's also getting more, which is making him a bear).
- He's crawling, although mostly just army crawls because he knows it's faster for him. He's literally everywhere and is so fast. I went to the bathroom and he was in his play area, somehow he figured out how to push the gate over and I found him in the hallway by the bathroom.
- He's blabbering up a storm. He's always making some kind of noise.
- He LOVES peekaboo. It's his new favorite thing to do. It could keep him occupied for hours.
- He also loves jumping.
- He's getting better at entertaining himself (no I don't leave him alone for hours by himself).
Now we just need to get the little bugger on a schedule that he can stick to. For the most part he's in bed by 8. But he's up at least 2 or 3 times at night (which is hard on daddy, as he has night duty). I really miss having space in the bed. 90% of the time he won't go back down in his crib (although he falls asleep in there just fine). Between Jordan, T, and Wickett (our very large fatty kitty cat) I get a tiny little 3 foot by 1 foot area on the bed, that usually doesn't include any blankets.
He's just so advanced and growing up so fast. I wish there was just something that could slow down time because I'm afraid to blink and next thing I'll know he'll be a year old.
Speaking of that. 4 days before our little man's 1st birthday... We'll be getting married! and I'll no longer be Jessie J, but Jessie N. It's such a weird feeling. I want time to hurry and speed up so that I can finally be married to my best friend and love of my life, but I want it to slow down so my son doesn't grow up.
Next post I'll put some pictures to the names. And maybeeeee let you guys in on some wedding stuff. I should really get on planning this wedding...
